"I wasn't born here, but I got here as fast as I could!"

Like most, we were drawn to Pamlico County by our love of boating and dream of living in a warmer climate. When corporate downsizing resulted in my job being eliminated, we decided to "start over where we were going to end up" and headed south.

The following year was spent designing and building our home, which I contracted myself. For a series of articles where you can find ideas that made our building project run a little smoother, see my series of articles “From the Ground Up.”

My background in communications, project management and customer service made me a natural candidate for the Real Estate profession and it wasn't long before a friend in the business persuaded me to give it a try.

Since then I’ve become a full-time Broker with Mariner Realty, Inc., earned the prestigious REALTOR® Institute graduate (GRI) and Accredited Buyer Representative (ABR) designations, consistently achieved the status of Million Dollar Producer and served as President and on various committees on the Pamlico County Board of Realtors.

In my "spare" time I volunteer at the Pamlico County Civic & Cultural Center, stage direct the Pamlico Chorale's annual Spring concert and am my family's genealogist and editor of their web site. Ralf and I also enjoy refurbishing older boats and have brought a number of sail and power crafts back to life. But our favorite activity is exploring our beautiful countryside and endless waterways with our dogs Shelbie and Roxie!
